Kumasi, June 2, GNA - The Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club has been commended for living up to expectation within its few weeks in office.
Mr Desmond Otuo-Tuffour, a Sports Analyst and an ardent supporter of Kotoko, said the success of the Club in the few matches so far played was indicative of the commitment of the IMC towards the cause and success of the 'Porcupine Warriors'. The Sports analyst was speaking to the GNA Sports in Kumasi on Monday ahead of Kotoko's match against Accra Hearts of Oak and subsequent matches.
Otuo-Tuffour cautioned the supporters of the Club against rushing the IMC in making decisions that in the long run could affect the club's new found rhythm but that they should be patient and lend their support to members of the IMC.
On the Kotoko-Hearts match, Mr Otuo-Tuffour urged the playing body to shun complacency and play according to the instructions of the technical bench headed by Herbert Addo since that was the only way they could upstage the Phobians. The Sports Analyst advised Coach Addo and the IMC to resolve to maintain Isaac Opeele Aboagye and Johnson Smith as assistant coaches for continuity sake.
He said he was hopeful that Kotoko would work hard to better their standings on the Glo Premier League table to bring the smiles back onto the faces of their teeming supporters. Kotoko presently lie sixth on the table with 31 points after 21 matches.
