Kotoko set for Spain pre-season on Tuesday

Ghana Champions Asante Kotoko will enplane to Spain on Tuesday August 5 to begin their Pre-season ahead of the 2014/2015 season, Ghanasportsonline.com can exclusively confirm.

The tour which will be used as part of the team’s preparation for the upcoming season will see the “Reds” spend 2-weeks in the European country engaging themselves in series of friendly games.

This will be the third time Asante Kotoko will be embarking on a training tour in Europe having done that in 2007 and 2012 in Germany and Serbia respectively.

“We will be leaving Ghana to Spain on Tuesday. But we want to first know the time table from the GFA so it does not conflict with our schedule. So we have written to the FA and we are expecting a reply today,” acting spokesperson of the Club, Ali Maradona exclusively told Ghanasportsonline.com

“We will spend about two weeks there, but we are yet to know the teams we are going to play with. The organizers will decide on that”.

A thirty man contingent made up of 23 players and seven officials will leave Ghana to Spain on Tuesday. Head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani will use the exercise to prepare his side for the new season after guiding them to the double last season.
