Ghana's Hearts of Oak may be veteran campaigners in African club FOOTBALL but they haven't been in the last eight of the Champions League since they won the title in 2000. The Accra-based side are playing in Angola this weekend in the first leg of their second round tie against AS Aviacao.
Having been crowned champions of African, they bowed out in the first round of the defence of their title in 2001. And last year, they failed again to make it to the group phase of the competition, where eight clubs share more than three million dollars of television revenue.
Needless to say, Hearts are under severe threat in Angola this weekend but their star player - Ghanaian international Emmanuel Osei Kuffour - told Zoe Eisenstein in Luanda that they're ready to set the record straight:
