Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah is confident he will be one of the star players at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations after returning to the Ghana starting line-up.
The Udinese star was controversially left out of the Black Stars starting team in their 1-0 win over Botswana in their opening Group D game last week.
The midfielder played his first match of the tournament on Saturday and overly impressed the Ghana technical team with his classy performance.
Asamoah twice came close to scoring in the first half before he was substitute by Samuel Inkoom in the 87th minute.
The 23-year-old is delighted he did not disappoint and wants to build on that performance.
"I think I did very well. Since I came from Italy, this is my first competitive match like this. It was not easy but with this I know I'm going to improve," Asamoah said.
"I don't know and I am not the coach. It will all depend on how I train and keep myself going."
He is expected to be in the starting line-up when the Black Stars play Botswana in their last group game on Wednesday.
