Ghanaian born Kwame Ampadu has today left Newport County AFC of south Wales by mutual agreement. Ampadu, 34, joined the Club over the summer as the midfield anchorman in manager John Cornforth's team plans for the new season. Kwame Ampadu was used to full-time football and training and by his own admission found the adjustment to part-time football a challenge given the travelling distances involved living in Exeter and playing his football in Newport. Kwame Ampadu leaves the Club on good terms, and the Club would like to acknowledge Ampadu's professionalism in the way he has agreed to the termination of his contract.
