Norway-born goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey has confirmed he is no more in terested in switching his nationality to play for Ghana, according to GHANAsoccernet.com.
The 23-year-old acquired his Ghanaian passport last September which helped the Ghana FA to submit his application to Fifa.
Kwarasey, who has played for Norway’s U21 side and is being chased for the country’s first national team, was born to a Ghanaian father and Norwegian mother.
But the Stromgodset first choice gloves man seems to be frustrated by the lack of support from the Ghana Football Association in chasing Fifa secure his switch.
“I don’t know anything about the switch anymore. I am not doing anything about it again. That is not my job. I don’t know what is left,” Kwarasey told GHANAsoccernet.com.
Kwarasey, born to a Norwegian mother and a Ghanaian father expressed interest to represent Ghana in 2009.
The goalkeeper was born to a Ghanaian father and a Norwegian mother which makes his eligible to play for the Black Stars.
Kwarasey turned down invitations to play for the European country’s under-21 side two years ago with the hope of playing for Ghana.
The highly-rated youngster is hoping that his form and height will gain him a place in Ghana’s squad for future matches.
Kwarasey has currently been rated as the best goalkeeper in the Norwegian top flight after impressive displays which secured a historic Europa league place for Stromsgodset.
