Kairo International Limited, operators of La Palm Atlantic Casino on Tuesday signed a one-year sponsorship deal with newly-promoted Division One club, F.C. Nania at a ceremony in Accra.
The 40,000 U.S. dollar sponsorship, which comes in the form of payment of hospital bills, players' allowance and transportation as well as provision of sports kits, is renewable depending on the performance of the club.
Wintson Coetzer, Chief Executive Officer of La Palm Casino who signed on behalf of his company said as part of the company's social responsibility towards the community, they chose to enter into an agreement because the club is well managed and structured and has a youth programme starting with the Under-14's.
He said the club has also seen new heights by getting promoted to the Division One League this year.
Coetzer expressed the hope that the sponsorship deal would spur the players to give of their best.
Abedi Ayew Pele, Chairman of F.C Nania, expressed his happiness about the deal and also expressed the hope that the players would contribute their best for the club to achieve its aim and also give the company its side of the bargain.
He said the club would do everything possible to ensure that discipline is maintained in the team.
Abedi Pele also thanked Parlays Biscuits Company for helping them to realise their dream of getting such a sponsorship.
