Hearts influential midfielder Laryea Kingston insists he won’t apologize to the club in the wake of his continuous suspension.
The 31-year-old is serving an indefinite ban after he clashed with head trainer CK Akunnor at the team’s pre-season camping base in Takoradi.
While captain Mahatma Otoo has launched a campaign to have the player reinstated in the team, management are unwavering insisting the former Heart of Midlothian midfielder has not shown enough remorse.
Kingston has stoked the fire by insisting he owes no one an apology.
“You suspended me indefinitely with immediate effect and so how do you expect me to go to the trainin grounds? To go there and do what? Kingston retorted on Kumasi-based Fox FM
“No one has asked me to apologise. I have not done anything wrong for me to be disgraced like that.
“It is as if I am been forced to apologise. If you do that the apology does not become effective. We are different people with different approach to situations.
“I apologise to my kids when I go wrong. But not when I know I have not done anything untoward.
“The word has changed and so if an adult also err, he must be told in plain language. I have to be honest with you, I can’t apologise.
The latest outburst could deepen the already volatile tension that exits between the player and the club and could lead to further sanctions.
