Ghana midfielder Laryea Kingston is determined to impress at Israeli side Hapeol Be’er Sheva and prove his doubters wrong.
The 30-year-old’s career was speculated to be over after Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem terminated his contract in December last year.
But Kingston believes his playing career is far from over and wants to make a mark at the side he signed for last week.
“Some journalists never wished me well and hoped for my downfall. Some went on to describe me as a finished article who had nothing to offer. I’m fed up with these labels, fed up with the critics.
“Majority of the fans also wrote me off saying all manner of negative things about me. But I kept my cool because I knew what I was working on. Now it is all about proving them wrong,” he told 90 Minutes Newspaper.
