Lorient coach determined to keep Jordan

Jordan Ayew Jordan Ayew

Lorient coach Sylvain Ripoll insists Jordan Ayew is not for sale as the French club are keen on keeping the Ghana international striker who is wanted by two English clubs.

It’s been suggested Ayew would demand a transfer from Lorient to follow his brother Andre to the Premier League.

Andre Ayew signed for Swansea City last week. Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion have been linked with Jordan.

However, Ripoll says: “This player (Ayew) is a very important part of the team.

“He’s someone who can fill in many positions, he will be an integral part of the project of the club for the coming years.”
