HEARTS of Oak player, Louis Agyemang, says he is not joining the club in spite of the GFA Player Status Committee?s ruling that he is a player of the club.
The striker told the Graphic a few hours before he and other colleagues of the local component of the Black Stars emplaned to Nairobi, Kenya, last Monday that as far as he was concerned he had no contractual agreement with Hearts and was surprised at the actions of the club?s management.
About a month ago, Hearts ordered Louis to ressume training immediately and threatened the player with sanctions if he failed to comply with the directive. Before then, the forward, whose late equaliser in the first leg of the Confederation Cup final gave Hearts a lifeline on which they built to win the inaugural edition, had skipped Hearts? preparations for the CAF Super Cup against Nigeria?s Enyimba, and later the first leg of their CAF Champions League game against Dolphin FC of Nigeria.
Louis said all he recalled was that he joined Hearts from their junior side, Auroras, and there had not been any documentation covering his stay with them since.
Asked whether he is interested in playing for another club in the country, the ?prodigal son? failed to comment on that. He, however, declared that he wanted to allow himself sometime before leaping in order not to ruin his professional career.
