Hearts of Oak striker Mahatma Otoo has sealed a deal with Norwegian side Sogndal, the club has officially announced.
The top scorer of the 2012-13 Ghana Premier League season has agreed personal terms with the club and could feature for the team if all paper works go through.
The Sporting Manager of Sogndal Håvard Flo feels the Black Stars striker has made the right decision to sign a deal in the region of $400, 000.
"Mahatma is a very exciting player, we are proud that he chose Sogndal from the possibilities he had,” he said on the club’s website.
“We will provide Mahatma time to adapt to Norway in every way, but we have an expectation that Mahatma in time will be a valuable substitution for us.”
Otoo said he already feels welcomed in Norway.
“I am really happy to be in Sogndal and to join the club from now on. I really appreciate the way the club presented itself when they came to Ghana. The interaction with Håvard & Eirik made me feel very welcome and confident in my decision. The facilities and the philosophy of Sogndal fits me very well, and hopefully I can be involved soon.”
Otoo could play on Saturday against Even Hovland.
