FC Copenhagen coach Ståle Solbakken has revealed several stellar European clubs including Marseille, Leicester City and Galatasary are keen on highly-rated Ghana defender Daniel Amartey.
The fast-rising Ghana international has become a matter of intense conjecture in the Danish media with widespread reports about the interest of many clubs for his signature.
The talented 20-year-old is reported to be on the radar of French giants Olympique Marseille while ambitious English side Leicester City are believed to be interested.
Turkish powerhouse Galatasary have also enquired about the availability of the former Djurgårdens IF strong centre-back.
And Copenhagen coach Ståle Solbakken has confirmed the interest of several clubs in the young Ghana star.
“We do not comment on it, but right now we have a fine dialogue with his representatives,” he said
“I think it would be best for Daniel to take at least a year to be here in relation to his development.
“When we picked him from Djurgården, he had pretty much only played as a central defender, and now he can both play there and in the midfield.
“I don’t think he’s going to play in the Danish League for the rest of his life. I do not think.”
Amartey shot to prominence after playing for the Ghana at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations where he helped the West Africans finished second.
He was a real steel in defense for the Africans during the continental showpiece until he got injured which paved another chance for long-standing John Boye.
