German legend Lothar Matthaus will arrive in Ghana next month to watch the African Cup of Nations.
Matthaus, who led his country to the World Cup in 1990, is keen on coaching an African country and is travelling to the tournament to gain a first hand experience of the continent's game.
The former Germany captain will use the opportunity to visit some of the clubs in Ghana to acquaint himself with youth development in the country.
He also meet his friends Sammy Kuffuour, Anthony Yeboah and Abedi Pele during his visit.
Matthaus said three months ago that he would relish a return to the international scene by coaching a top African country.
He has not coached since June this year when he was forced to quit Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg despite winning the league title.
Having coached the Hungarian national team in 2004, the former World Player of the Year is keen on making a comeback on the international scene by coaching in Africa.
