Matthew Amoah Injured

Black Stars prolific striker, Matthew Amoah would miss the Ghana/Egypt game scheduled for next Wednesday in Cairo.

The NAC Breda striker got injured during a league game between his side and Roda JC Kekrade over the weekend.

The injury which is a minor one will keep the striker from the playing field for the next two weeks.

The former Borussia Dortmund and Vitesse Arnhem striker stated that he would be unavailable for the Black Stars game against African champions, the Pharoahs of Egypt since his doctors have told him to rest for the next two weeks.

“Last Monday, I went to the hospital and I was told to rest for two weeks. I will not make it to Egypt but hope to return to action very soon.”

The 26-year-old Amoah signed a three-year deal with Eredivisie’s NAC Breda on July 3, 2007, after passing a medical.
