Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Philemon McCarthy has denied speculations of a rift between him and veteran goalkeeper Sammy Adjei at the club.
The former Feynoord Academy shot stopper insists his relationship with the former Ghana second choice custodian has not deteriorated.
McCarthy told Sunyani-based Storm FM: "I have heard those rumours from our fans as well but I don’t have time to explain to them what our relationship is because I know it is not true.
"It is expected that people will think this way because of what they see and hear about the two of us and our reaction too sometimes can make people believe it so you cannot begrudge these fans
"Let me admit that my relationship with him is not like the other guys, he is not my friend because we just do the hi and hello and that is all but we get on well at training."
McCarthy became Hearts' first choice goalkeeper in the second half of last season but a finger injury sidelined him for the last seven matches.
