The Accra representative of Medeama Sporting Club Edmund Ackah has stated that the club is having enough funds to go to Africa and people should dispel the notion that they are not financially sound to participate in the Caf Champions League.
Ackah believes the club is on course for Africa as they started the preparations for the elite inter-club competition of the continent a year ago.
“We have never complained of money,” Ackah told Goal.com Ghana. “We are having enough funds more than the two glamorous clubs in the country.”
“Moses Parker was the sole financier, we now have on board Goldfields and GMC as sponsors, we will go to Africa to show our mettle if we win the league.”
“Our bonuses and salaries are paid regularly at least by 21/22 of every month. Bonuses are paid immediately after a match and that is one of the things which makes the boys give off their best,” Ackah claimed.
The Tarkwa-based club are still leading the Ghana Glo with 42 points with just seven games to go.
