Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Herbert Addo has vehemently voiced out his anger at what he perceives as attempts by the media to incite the supporters of the club against him.
The veteran coach made this comment after Hearts of Oak’s victory over Bolga Man City in the MTN FA Cup Round of 32 game played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday, April 8.
The Phobians have had a topsy-turvy campaign this season. They have had a poor campaign in the domestic league, but surprisingly done very well in CAF Confederations Cup.
Their victory over Bolga Man City also means they have qualified to the Round of 16 of the MTN FA Cup and remain on course to win a first trophy in the last six years.
Asked by the media what message he had for the fans after the victory over Bolga Man City, he said; “I don’t have any messages for the fans; I have a message for you people, you the media. You are the once inciting the supporters.
If we are where we are in the league and so what? Some have started well, but we are coming so let’s wait and see what happens at the end of the league. We are slow starters and we will get there.”
