Chairman of the MTN FA Cup, Mr J.Y. Appiah has asked the media to help promote the MTN FA Cup.
Mr J.Y. Appiah tasked the Ghanaian media to use part of their air time for the promotion of the oldest club competition in Ghana, as the FA Cup gathers momentum.
In a welcome speech before the draw for the round of 32, the chairman of the FA cup committee pleaded for more attention from the Ghanaian media.
“We implore you to help us hype the FA Cup, with the hours you spend on international matches, even if it is one quarter of it that you will give to the FA Cup, we will be happy. We are very grateful for what you have done so far but we need more to help promote the FA Cup”, he said.
The ace football administrator further explained the need for promotion of the league, stressing on the need for improved packages from MTN.
The current defending champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be hosting Birim DC united whiles Herbert Addo’s ailing Hearts of Oak welcome Bolga Man City to the Accra sports stadium.
The next round of fixtures will take place on the 4th and 5th April, 2015 or any other date scheduled by the FA cup.
