Middlesbrough go for Asamoah

According to the UK newspaper, The Mirror, Middlesbrough are ready to rival Russian clubs for Udinese striker Gyan Asamoah.

Udinese president Giampaolo Pozzo is ready to sell the Ghana international this summer and has been fielding interest from CSKA and Spartak Moscow.

Boro boss Gareth Southgate is also keen on Asamoah, who saw club and international teammate Sulley Muntari sign for Portsmouth last week.
