Mikwabs Professionals beat foreign-based players

Oblogo, (G/A), July 15, GNA - Foreign based Ghanaian players resident in Dansoman, Accra failed to use their rich experience to beat Mikwabs Professionals FC, an Oblogo Division Two Club but they were handed a shock 3-1 defeat in a friendly encounter played on Thursday at Oblogo.

The foreign players that included David Larkotey, Razak Mohammed and Kwame Amadu all from Dubai, led by Louis Agyeman of Accra Hearts of Oak sent early signals to the fans of their determination to carry the day, but Nikwabs proved a difficult side to beat as they showed glimpses of hope to match their opponents and no wonder Michael Armah scored the first goal in the 16th minutes for his side to end the first half. On resumption of the second half, the professionals who exhibited their skills on the ball in an effort to level up the scores by piling pressure on the home side but they caused a defensive blunder in the 50th moinute for which enterprising Aaron Baah took advantage to score the second goal for Mikwabs.

Agyemang, from the onset of the game was heavily policed by the Oblogo boys but the striker still managed to pulled a goal back in the 80th minute for the professionals to bring the scores to 2-1.

Slippery Baah was on hand on the second occasion to bury the visitors in the 89th minute with a classic long range shot to bring the final scores to 3-1 in favour of Oblogo Mikwabs.
