Mohammed Abu not looking beyound loan stint at Rayo

Ghana midfielder Mohammed Abu appears fed up with life at Rayo Vallecano and is thus not looking to make his stay at the Spanish club permanent.

The 21-year-old has had limited first team opportunities with the Madrid-based club since joining at the beginning of the season on a loan deal.

Abu has started only once for the Madrid-based side this season.

And even though he is content with life off the pitch, the Right to Dream Academy graduate feels his future lies away from the Campo De Futbol de Vallecas as he seeks regular first team action.

“I am not thinking about that (turning loan spell at Rayo permanent),” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“I am concentrating on my game until my loan is finished here.

“As a new player in a new environment, things get a bit difficult but off the pitch things are ok.

“It has been quite difficult for me here.

“I remember in Norway when I played in Europe against Athletico and I was the best player in both the home and away game.

“And now I am not playing regularly. But I still believe in myself.”

Abu featured for Ghana at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations where the Black Stars finished a disappointing fourth.
