Dauda Mohammed has been passed fit for Kotoko's outstanding premier league match with regional rivals Ashantigold on Wednesday.

The Kotoko star picked up a knock in their 2-2 draw with Medeama on Sunday after coming on in second half and it was feared he could be forced to sit out for four weeks, having already missed the club's opening game of the season against Wafa.

However, following tests conducted at the club's medical facility on Monday, the 18-year-old has been declared fit for the upcoming encounter.

“According to the medical team, he’s fit to play against Ashantigold," Communication director Kwaku Ahenkorah told the club's website.

"But that’s largely dependent on whether or not he will make the final selection,” he added.

Kotoko have just a point after two games and are currently 14th on the log.
