Monaco are willing to convert Everton midfielder Alex Nyarko's one-year loan with the Principality club into a permanent move.
The 26-year-old Ghanaian joined Monaco during last summer after a disappointing spell at Goodison Park.
"We are not talking of a transfer yet, but we have sent someone from the club who should meet the Everton manager this week in Liverpool," spokesman Pierre Joseph Gadeau said.
The struggling Barclaycard Premiership outfit are reportedly asking for ?3million.
Gadeau added: "Alex has not yet expressed his will about whether he wants to stay with us or not.
"He knows the situation of the club and only wants to finish the season quietly.
"He is very professional, and we will discuss about his future with him later. We will see."
Before joining Everton in 2000, Nyarko previously had a two-year spell with Lens and won the 1999 French League Cup.
