More donations to Black Stars

In response to the sponsorship drive launched by the Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama, to seek support for the national team, the Black Stars, towards their Nations Cup campaign Mali 2002, more companies and organisations continue to donate to the team.

Latest to donate to the Stars who are already in Mali to round off their preparation for the tournament, which kicks off this weekend, are Budget Cash and Carry, distributors of Blue Jeans Energy Drink, which have donated ?50 million; Nsamka Herbal Centre which has donated ?2.7 million worth of items made up of two cartons of its product, the Super Wonder Ointment and GFA pennants.

Ghana Airways have also given some special package for the Stars, officials and supporters, in addition to one free ticket from Accra to Bamako and back for the GFA. The nation's favourite airline has also released special rates for the trip during the tournament.

A month's ticket is now going for $390, a week's ticket is $315 while a ticket to just the final match is going at a rebated price of $250.

The producers of Cowbell Milk, Wonder Foods, have also made a presentation of 20 cartons of Cowbell Milk and Chocolate plus ?2 million to the Stars.
