Morocco venue good for Ghana - Coach Dussuyer

Guinea coach Michel Dussuyer has said Ghana have an advantage over the Syli Nationale as they both face off in Morocco in a 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. The game has been shifted to a neutral ground due to the Ebola scare in Guinea.

The Frenchman insisted that though it was a precautionary measure by Caf, it adversely affects his side.

“We are deprived of our audience and support. Playing on neutral ground with a team like Ghana is not the same as playing at home as you will have the advantage,” Dussuyer told AfriqueGuinee.

“It is not us who made the decision, we are forced to accept the decisions of the African Football Confederation.”

Dussuyer added: “But we must be aware of the reality: there is a very serious epidemic problem against which we must fight. So we accepted this decision, indeed. But in Conakry, life goes on. It is around the borders that is dangerous, especially with Sierra Leone.

“I do not know what our opponents (Ghana) have in their heads. But they prefer the game to be played on neutral grounds.”

Guinea beat Togo 2-1 in Morocco before losing 2-0 to Uganda in Kampala whilst Ghana also drew with Uganda and beat Togo in Lome.
