Pleads with radio stations to stop using “no Sule, no Black Stars” for promos and jingles
Accra 23rd July, 2010: Black Stars midfielder, Sule Ali Muntari has apologised to Ghanaians for his mother’s comments on an Accra-based radio station when she reacted to an issue involving him.
He explained that his mother’s comments were a result of fabricated stories that were being peddled against him at the time, adding that his mother reacted in a way that “any caring mother would do to defend her son”.
In an interview with ace Sports presenter, Charles Osei Asibey on Happy FM’s morning show (Anopa Bosuo), the Inter Milan midfielder pleaded with Ghanaians to forgive his mother and “let sleeping dogs lie”.
He further appealed to all radio stations that are consistently using his mother’s voice for their promotions and jingles to put an end to it saying that “I feel really really bad, I mean really really bad. That’s not good. We should not be joking with it”.
