Legendary Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah has said that Sulley Muntari has a lot of football in him and can help the national team.

Sulley Muntari physically assaulted a management member of the Black Stars, Moses Parker during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and was thrown out of camp.

He was also suspended indefinitely from the national team. However, he apologized earlier this week and the football fraternity have been divided.

But Stephen Appiah, who on countless occasions stepped in to ensure sanity prevail between Muntari and officials of the FA for alleged misbehavior.

“I have read the apology letter and Muntari has realized what he did was wrong and that for me was the important thing,” Appiah is quoted by myjoyonline.com.

“He still has a lot of football in him and I believe he can still help the national team. I am happy he has apologized and for me, he has done the right thing.
