Muntari must be recalled to the Black Stars - Odartey Lamptey

Former Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey wants suspended Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari back in the Black Stars team.

Muntari is currently serving an indefinite suspension from the senior National team after is bad-manners during the team’s campaign at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The 31-year-old was axed from the team’s camp after involving in a burst-up with former Ghana Football Association executive committee member Moses Armah Parker.

The Al Ittihad midfielder was reported to have punched the Medeama SC owner in the face without any provocation.

The player was however suspended prior to Ghana’s final group game against Portugal and has since not earned a call-up to the National team.

Odartey Lamptey speaking with Starr Fm in an interview expressed his desire to have the former AC Milan star back into the Black Stars team.

"I will recall Sulley Muntari if I were coach of Black Stars but for Kevin Boateng I doubt," he said.

The Ghana Football Association has declared their intension to recall the player back to National duties should he show remorse and apologize for his actions.
