Muntari transfer talk refuted

Inter Milan have brushed aside speculation linking Sulley Muntari with a possible transfer.

The former Portsmouth midfielder had been quoted as saying he was looking to leave the San Siro after dropping out of Rafa Benitez's first-team plans.

It has also been reported that the Ghana international threw a tantrum after being left out of the squad for last weekend's clash against Juventus.

However, a statement on Inter's official website read: "The midfielder Sulley Muntari would like to say that he 'has never given any interview or comments over the last few days'.

"On Wednesday some claims appeared on Sky Sports.com. But the midfielder would like to say that he has never spoken to that site and, in general, with any other media."
