NDC sends goodwill message to Stars

Accra, Jan 22, GNA - The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged the senior national team, Black Stars to be courageous in order to accomplish their heart desires as their predecessors achieved under trying conditions of the winning teams of 1963, 1965, 1978 and 1982. In a goodwill message issued by Nii Lante Vanderpuye, Press Secretary for Professor John Evans Atta-Mills, it urged the Stars to be focused and confident knowing, that all Ghanaians will be behind them and praying for their success.

The party wished the Stars' God's support and strength as they take the field "to make themselves and Ghanaians proud again"

"We are behind you in every match during this 25th African Cup of Nations and we are sure that the Almighty God will take you through even when everything seems impossible".

"May He also make a way for you when there seems to be no way and bring the Golden Fleece back to Ghana for the record fifth time". The statement added, "You are our Stars, the Black Stars of Ghana and the Black Stars of Africa".
