Accra, Jan 02, GNA - The National Sports Council (NSC) has intensified security operations at all the venues scheduled to host matches of the 26th African Cup of Nations, which get underway on January 20.
A statement signed by Mr Charles James Aryeh, Chief Administrative Officer of the Council on behalf of the Chief Executive said "the move is to ensure that all four stadia, which have been fixed with the state of the art requisite equipment, will remain intact for the tournament." He asked the public to cooperate with the security personnel who have been detailed to man entry points to the stadia.
He implored the public to support the NSC in prosecuting its security agenda to the fullest to ensure a very successful Ghana 2008.
