Nathaniel Asamoah is pushing for a move to 'boyhood' club Asante Kotoko on transfer deadline day.

The 26-year-old is a free agent after terminating his contract with Moroccan side Raja Casablanca.

The former Medeama attacker is hellbent on sealing a return to the Porcupine Warriors before the transfer window shuts on Wednesday midnight.

Medeama initially gave the exciting striker the opportunity to re-join them but he turned down the offer.

GHANAsoccernet.com understands the representative of the former Real Star Belgrade striker is holding talks with Kotoko over a possible move.

The Ghana Premier League transfer window closes at 23:59 GMT mid a flurry of activities in the transfer mill.

Asamoah has ruled out a return to Kotoko rivals Hearts of Oak, who are struggling to sign big-name players ahead of the new season.
