New Edubiase United directors iron out differences

The directors of Ghana Premier League side New Edubiase United have ironed out their differences to save the club.

President Abdul Salam Yakubu announced quitting the club last month following disagreements with the club and its sponsor Sidalco.

Yakubu, who founded the club four seasons ago in the lower division, disagreed with the takeover by businessman David Lamptey.

He fell out with the club's General Manager Joe Abu Salam whom he accused as the root cause of the rift.

Yakubu has decided to patch up with him and save the club from collapsing.

"We have met and discussed the matter and I want to confirm that I'm back at the club as President and everything has been resolved," Yakubu told MTNFootball.com

"A lot of things were said by all of us but all that are in the past and we have to look at the bright side.

"The club has struggled and we want to bounce back in our third league match.''

The wrangle affected the the performance of the team and that resulted in their opening two defeats in the Ghana Premier League.

This development should enable the Bekwai-based side concentrate on defending their Ghana FA Cup.
