New Juaben South wins U-12/U-15 Republic Day Cups

Koforidua, July 1, GNA- The New Juaben South beat their New Juaben North counterparts in both the Under-12 and Under 15 to lift the two trophies in a special football match to mark the Republic Day Celebrations. The competition was organised by the New Juaben Municipal Sports Association for the two constituencies of New Juaben North and South. The New Juaben South Under 12 beat their colleagues by a lone goal while the Under 15 their northern colleagues 3-1.

The two games which were played at the Koforidua Sports stadium attracted special dignities such as the Municipal Chief Executive, Nana Adjei Boateng, the Deputy Municipal Co-ordinator, Mr Kwaku Gyimah and some representatives from the New Juaben Municipal Sports Association. Mr Kofi Aryeh of Openyin Aryeh Construction Ltd. donated a magnificent trophy, which was presented to New Juaben South U-15 for their efforts while the New Juaben Municipal Sports Association also presented the trophy won by the Under 12 New Juaben South team. The Municipal Co-ordinator advised the youth to be disciplined in what ever they do and not to only rely on football but also learn hard so as to achieve greatness in future.
