Norwegian Club Sacks Ghanaian Player

Viking club in the Norwegian league have terminated the contract of Ghanaian player, Abdul Karim for indiscipline. The Ghanaian player is reported to have overstayed his holiday break during Christmas last year as the 22year-old Karim turned up 17 days late for training with the Stavanger club after departing for Accra before Christmas.

Karim who featured for Ghana’s national under-21 side, the Black Satellites during the 1997 edition of the FIFA World Youth Championship is now free to join any club though the European transfer window is closed the club said.

But no one seems to share any sympathy for the Ghanaian striker as his agent, Patrick Mork admitted that Karim has only himself to blame.

The agent stated that, he can’t do much about the situation because according to him, it’s the player that has brought himself into this situation.

Abdul Karim joined Viking last year from Krongsvinger. The Ghanaian youngster had one goal in eleven appearances for the Stavanger club to his credit.
