Nyaho heaps praises on Solomon Asante

Outspoken former Ghana football chief, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has expressed delight at what he describes as the “outrageous” talent of new TP Mazembe recruit, Solomon Asante.

Petit Asante has just completed the switch alongside fellow Africa Cup of Nations’ star, Richard Kissi Boateng from immediate former Glo Ghana Premier League champions, Berekum Chelsea to the DR Congo.

But Asante did not join the exodus bandwagon before wowing one of the strictest football administrators this country has ever seen with his skills at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

For Nyaho, Asante was one of the revelations of the just concluded Cup of Africa Nations and the former GFA Chairman is adamant national team selectors must offer the midfield maestro more openings with the Black Stars. Nyaho is crying that the pocket-sized Solomon Asante has a lot more to offer and must therefore be given the confidence to perform in the Ghana shirt on regular basis.

“This guy from Berekum Chelsea, Solomon Asante is a very very intelligent footballer that I think but for his size, he is possibly among the very best,” Nyaho told 90 MINUTES exclusively.

He added: “He fights for every ball, he is fearless, he is skillful and he plays with his heart because he puts in his all. He is a hardworking boy who should be given more opportunities because he has a lot of potential.”
