Nyarko Could Make Swiss Return

Grasshopper Zurich could be ready to offer Everton midfielder Alex Nyarko a career lifeline.

Nyarko will be forced to leave Goodison Park during the summer as he has not been granted a work permit for the final year of his Toffees contract.

The setback for the Ghanaian ace comes after he had thrust his way back into manager David Moyes' thinking and was to set to figure regularly next season.

But he is now seeking a new club on the continent, with Swiss outfit Grasshopper the first to display an interest in the African.

The former Lens man has already spent part of his career in Swiss football after spending two years with FC Basel.

Grasshopper are rumoured to have already made contact with Nyarko and may aim to steal a march on the 30-year-old's other suitors.
