Obed Ansah coy over Hearts of Oak return

Playmaker Obed Ansah has refused to rule out a return to Hearts of Oak even though the former Heart of Lions midfielder won’t confirm if he will re-sign for the former Ghana and African champions.

Ansah has not played top flight football for two seasons since refusing to renew his stay with the Phobians following the expiry of his contract at the end of the 2010/11 Ghana season. He was on loan to power second tier side, Tarkwa -United into the Middle League play-offs but he did not even last to feature in their failed Premier League bid in the National Middle League campaign.

Still a free agent, Ansah is still clubless and has been linked with a return to the club where he made his name after beginning training with Hearts just under a fortnight ago on the assumption of the helmsman’s job by David Duncan who apparently has good relations with the petit playmaker.

But Obed Ansah flatly denied any deal with Hearts when 90 MINUTES called him up Monday.

“I’ve not signed anything, I can’t tell you anything because I have not signed any contract. I’m just training with them (Hearts) and even the training, it’s not every day that I go. If I sign any contract, you will all hear of it,” he told 90 MINUTES.

Ansah also defiantly refused to give any details about when he intends to resume his now obviously flagging football career: “I can’t say anything, I don’t miss football even though it’s my job.” Credit:
