Ofori-Quaye is youngest UEFA Champions League scorer

Ex-Ghana striker Peter Ofori-Quaye is the youngest scorer in the history of the UEFA Champions League.
Last Tuesday, FC Basel youngster Breel Embolo hogged the headlines when he scored in their 4-0 win over Ludogorets to join the list of 17 year-olds who have netted in Europe’s flagship event.
But the Swiss was some days older than Ofori-Quaye who scored for Olympiacos in the 5-1 defeat at Rosenborg in the 1997/1998 season.
He was 17 years and 195 days old. Former Ghana teammate Sammy Kuffour is in the list of ten youngest scorers in the Champions League when he scored for Bayern Munich in the 1994 season.
