Goalkeeper Richard 'Olele' Kingson will join the rest of the team in a full training session today as the Black Stars continue with preparations in Kumasi for Sunday’s match with Benin.

The Wigan Athletic shot-stopper has been under-going a series of workouts alone with the team’s physio.

Thursday’s practice in Kumasi will be the first of Kingson with the rest of the squad as Ghana gets ready for Sunday’s match against Benin in the joint 2010 African Nations Cup and World Cup qualifiers.

“Kingson is fit to play. He has been under-going a specialized form of training and this should not heighten any fears.

“This (specialized training) is nothing new. Players sometimes go through this form of preparations. But he is fit to play and in contention of a starting place on Sunday,” FA Vice President, Fred Pappoe told www.ghanafa.org.

“He will be joining the team in a full-training session today. We have been pleased with the preparations so far held in Accra and hope they maintain the momentum in Kumasi.”

Meanwhile, the FA Vice President says Milovan Rajevac will have an extra choice in his selection of personnel to go between the sticks as goalkeeper George Owu joins the team today.
