Oly shock Liberty

Wonder Club Great Olympics produced a spirited performance to inflict a 1-0 defeat on Liberty Professionals in Dansoman.

Consequently, Management have commended the club on its heroics against the Dansoman-based club in their league game at the Carl Reindorf Park yesterday.

A release from the Communication outfit of the club stated “We want to part you on the back for this victory, and we want to urge you on to replicate the same feat in your subsequent games.”

The Wonder Club recorded a 1-0 win over the home side courtesy Dotsey Agbeshie, who hit the back of the net with a brilliant 35-yard strike after a chester in the 43rd minute with support from striker Godwin Attram.

Liberty tried on several occasions to cancel the lead but former Black Stars goalkeeper Richard ‘Olele’ Kingson demonstrated brilliance to deny the home side in all their attempts.

The game watched by the Club’s directors-the Fattal brothers-Talal and Fadi, Fred ‘Papsey’ Pappoe and Oloboi Commodore was newly-appointed coach Yaw Acheampong second successive win after defeating Ebusua Dwarfs in an FA cup qualifier earlier last week.
