Tunisian based Club Africain has confirmed the signing of Opoku Antwi after an impressive week-long trial with the club. Antwi who is the brother of Black Stars and Qatari Al Sadd winger Opoku Agyeman penned down the deal after agreeing contractural details with the former African champions together with an agent who manages the two brothers. Opoku Antwi has previously featured for Ghanaian top flights Swedru All Blacks, Accra Great Olympics and Bofoakwa Tano said he is very elated about securing the deal after long spells off the field. His brother's impact in the Tunisian league he said has resulted in a massive support for him at the club as most of Africain's supporters troop in daily to watch his training performances
Opoku Antwi who is a very creative player with enough pace, shooting skills and agility beleives he can fit perfectly into the Tunisian Club and make an early impact as the club's coach Habib Majeri has been excited about his performance and could feature him in the first Tunisian league game which kicks off on Friday away to CA Bizertin.
In an interview with Sunyani-based radio Dinpa Fm, the University of Education graduate claimed all his necessary documents have been processed and forwarded to the Ghana Football Association and the Tunisian FA to facilitate his work permit befor he is eligible to feature in Competitive matches for the club which has also qualified to play in the CAF Champions league next year.He refuted claims about maltreatment of Black players in the North African country and insisted performances count a lot if you are to succeed here. "The supporters like me very much even though I have not been here for long but because of my good display and hardwork, I like the club, the fans and indeed everybody here and they are going to like me much if this incredible support continues.
