Accra Hearts of Oak striker Edwin Osei Pele has expressed surprise at recent media reports of him being used by Hearts as a makeweight as they look to tie up a deal which will see New Edubiase striker, Stephen Manu join the former African champions.
“I have had several calls since Monday that I’m being used in a swap deal and will join Edubiase so I approached our officials but they have not officially informed me of any such decision. I have been in contact with my CEO today and he has not suggested such a deal so I’m quite surprised by these reports.
At the start of our pre-season, I had a knock and was ruled out for a couple of weeks. I’m now 100% fit and I have informed the CEO (Fred Crenstil) I’m ready so I will like to know my stand at Accra Hearts of Oak.”
