Out-going Manager gives balls and Jerseys to School

Abbontiakoon, (W/R) April 27 GNA - Mr Tim Scott, out-going Meteorological Manager of the Tarkwa Mines of Goldfields Ghana limited (GGL) at the weekend presented a set of football jersey and three footballs to the Tim Scott Anglican School Complex at Abbontiakoon near Tarkwa.

The items, valued at three million cedis, were donated to the school that was named after Tim Scott by the community. Nana Abban the first, Odikro of Abbontiakoon, received the donation on behalf of the School, which as built by GGL.

In a speech, Nana Abban commended Mr Scott for contributing immensely towards the development of the community adding that, the people of the area would remember him forever.

He urged expatriate workers of mining companies in the area and the youth to follow Mr Scott's example and assist in raising the living standard of the people.

Nana Abban also expressed the appreciation of the elders and inhabitants of the area to the company and Mr Scott for their support to the community.

Mr Scott said the welfare of the people and the development of communities had always been a priority on his agenda while working at the GGL.
