Quincy Owusu-Abeyie was in top form when Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic arrived on a scouting trip in Greece over the weekend.

The Serbian trainer is now considering handing a Black Stars return to the Dutch-born player after his explosive start to the season with giants Panathinaikos.

Stevanovic took his comprehensive European scouting trip to the Greek league this weekend as he seeks to bolster his squad further.

Owusu-Abeyie did not disappoint as he set up his club's only goal in their 1-1 draw away at Atromitos.

The winger was also thick in the affairs of the game with some excellent foot works which is said to have caught the eye of the Black Stars coach.

The former Arsenal player is now in the plans of Stevanovic as he is considering the players he would call for the matches against Sudan and Nigeria next month.

With almost all of the Black Stars players and hopefuls playing in the top-flight leagues of Europe, the Serbian is combing Europe to discover more players to enhance competition in the squad.

He will continue to monitor fringe and current players in the squad to see if they matching up to the standard expected of a Black Stars player.

Abeyie has been in amazing form since the start of the season but has been neglected since the end of the World Cup and Stevanovic wants to give him a chance.

The Serbian has warned his players warming the benches in Europe that they could lose their positions in favour of those playing regularly.
