Accra, Aug 8, GNA - The Professional League Board (PLB) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has cautioned Premier League clubs and their supporters to desist from all forms of unsporting behaviour especially during their home matches.
Mr Kweku Ampem Darko, Deputy General Secretary of the GFA (Technical) in a statement copied to the GNA Sports said the Board has received reports from league centres that indicates that home supporters subject visiting teams to body searches either at the stadium gates or entrance to the inner perimeter fencing before allowing the teams to enter.
The statement said that some clubs also deny visiting teams the right to warm up on the field before the inspection of players by match officials.
Mr Darko said, "These acts are unsporting and inimical to the spirit and laws of the game and must be condemned by all sports loving people in this country".
The PLB has therefore warned all club Management and supporters to put a stop to such practices with immediate or failure would attract severe disciplinary sanctions.
