The assistant coach of the Black Stars, Maxwell Konadu says some players who were written off by fans proved their worth in the Black Stars’ 7-0 thrashing of Lesotho in Kumasi last night.
He told GTV’s Kwabena Yeboah that players like Jordan Ayew and Dominic Adiyiah came up trumps.
‘Some of the players were written off by a lot of people but they proved their worth. I am very happy for Jordan and Dominic because they both scored.’
Konadu also told GTV’s Kwabena Yeboah that the performance of the team was excellent, adding that the confidence is back.
‘We did very well today and the confidence is back. It is just wonderful and it has been a while since the Black Stars played the way they did.’
The Black Stars assistant coach noted that there was the need to re-strategise for the match against Zambia, adding that head coach Kwasi Appiah’s experience on the continent will be of immense value to the team.
‘We have to re-strategise against the Zambians, but our coach Kwasi Appiah has a lot of experience on the continent from playing in many continental competitions and his experience will help us to strategise to claim the three points in Ndola.’
