Portugal are never a one-man team - Atsu

Ghana winger, Christian Atsu, has said the assertion of Portugal being an ordinary team without Ronaldo is wrong.

According to the Chelsea player who is on loan at Dutch side Vitesse, the Selecao are an all round side and remain dangerous without the Real Madrid star.

The Black Stars are scheduled to play against Portugal at the 2014 Fifa World Cup in the final Group G match.

Atsu has some knowledge about Paolo Bento’s side due to his stint in the Portuguese League with Porto.

"It is true that Ronaldo is the most important player in the team because he has scored most of their goals," Atsu told Accra-based Radio XYZ.

"But we don’t have to forget where the passes are coming from. They have very intelligent midfielders like my former Porto team-mate, Joao Moutinho.

“You need a high level of concentration when playing against Portugal, because their passes and shots come from all angles. I think it is not about Ronaldo alone.”

The 22-year-old has scored four goals in 21 appearances for the Eredivisie side.
