Post Ladies to rekindle rivalry with Ghatel

Accra, Dec 1, GNA- Matches involving Ghatel Ladies and Post Ladies can easily pass as one of the intense rivalry that engulfs games between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Their meetings, like the two most glamorous clubs in the country travels beyond form, as a result of their calibre of players, standings on the log, performance and trainers involved and many more.

After springing out of Ghatel after the separation of Ghana Telecom and the Post, the latter have remained the biggest threat to their opponents' who are regarded as the heavyweight in the women's game per their splendid performances.

Many have continuously relied on Post Ladies to stop Ghatel where everyone else had failed and come Saturday when the duo clash at the Indafa Park at Mamprobi, the rest of the teams would obviously be yearning for another upset that would stop the rampaging league leaders. Post has fared below par this season and are occupying the seventh position on the

14 team table, and their intent this time round would be to spring up another surprise, which undisputedly would do their fortunes a lot of good.

Against a Ghatel side whose fortunes glitters by the week with an array of classy players, Post, inspite their rich track record would need extra arsenals to face their opponent and at least go for the results they so desire.

Elsewhere at the Kesseh JSS Park, impressive Athleta Ladies would lock horns with Ada Ladies. Occupying the bottom of the table with only three points in 13 games, Ada Ladies who until their surprising two all drawn game with Port Ladies in the previous fixture were considered as the whipping girls by pundits and thus have another good reason to sell out a good game if they are to survive their rampaging opponents. Athleta lost 2-0 to Ghatel last week and indications are that they would travel all length to grab all points at stake to keep up the chase at the top.

Sunsport Ladies would be up against Rotweiss Ladies at the Borstal Park also on Saturday.

On Sunday, Faith Ladies are favoured against Port Ladies at the Odorgonnor School Park, Starlet Ladies cross horns with Great Mawuena Ladies, Meridian Ladies play against Nungua Ladies while La Ladies clash with Dansoman Ladies in a dicey duel.
